Chiropet was established in 2003 as a Veterinary practice that utilises Chiropractic and Acupuncture treatment for dogs and cats. The practice is located in Adelaide, South Australia. The service is provided by Dr. Matthew Condon who is a qualified Veterinarian, Animal Chiropractor and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.
Dr. Condon has over 33 years of experience working with dogs and cats after graduating from Melbourne University as a Veterinarian.
Recognising the health benefits of Chiropractic and Acupuncture treatment for his patients Dr Condon has undertaken the 2 year Animal Chiropractic course at RMIT University in Melbourne. This course is recognised world wide as one of the few university based training programs for practitioners wanting to provide Chiropractic treatment for animals.
Dr Condon is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, having succesfully completed the IVAS certification course. The IVAS certificate is an internationally recognised qualification for Veterinary Acupuncturists. Acupuncture compliments Chiropractic treatment and the two approaches to health care have many similarities despite the very different philosophies and backgrounds.
Chiropet aims to provide treatment options that are based on maximising an animal`s wellness by utilising their innate healing potential rather than relying on medication to manage the symptoms of disease. For each individual patient a specific treatment program is tailored to suit the particular problems that are affecting that individual. This may involve the use of Chiropractic and/or Acupuncture treatment. The aim of a treatment program is to help the patient to achieve the best health possible not just relieve the symptoms.
Chiropet is located at Shop 1, 1064-1066 Old Port Road, Albert Park, Adelaide, South Australia. Consultations are available by appointment only and can be arranged by phoning 0414 808 720.
